Duties:
- Design and optimization of QoS algorithms for IEEE 802.11/15
family systems to support A/V streaming.
- Design, analysis and simulation of new MAC protocol for
IEEE 802.11/15 families
- Contribute to the MAC standardization activities within IEEE
802.11/15.
- Prototyping
Requirements:
- MSEE (or equivalent), preferably a PhD, in wireless networking
- 3+yrs experience in IEEE 802.11/15 standards
- Solid understanding of wireless communications systems and protocols
such as 802/11/802.15/Bluetooth.
- Good understanding of QoS issues and their applicability to
wireless home networks.
- Experience with analysis and simulation of protocols and algorithms
using simulation tools such as OPNET
- Experience contributing to standards bodies is expected
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills
- Experience with video transport technologies, TCP/IP protocols,
IEEE 1394 and/or USB 1.1/2.0 bus interface
- Experience with QoS implementation and prototyping
